New K-70 user

Just grabbed a K-70 with 3200 clicks in the local adds for a good price. Very impressed with it so far. I also have a K-5 and a K-50 and wanted to taste the newer Pentax functions. Very impressed so far. Being able to set all astrotracer parameters in user mode is a big plus for me. Looking forward to trying startrails with it. Did a quick try of pixel shift and wow! it's going to make incredible 20" X 30" prints! Went to see a client this afternoon and took it with me. Just a quick handheld shot.

Curious, which software did you use to process your pixel shift shot?

Congratulations, the K-70 image quality ist stunning.

Coming from a K10D I only had issues with its tendency to overexpose highligths. If you shoot jpeg in contrasting scences try the following settings. Highlight recocvery on, Auto ISO 100 to at least 200. The later is needed, as the Highlight recovery will only work from ISO 200 onwards. The K-70 will switch to ISO 200, if it applys the highlight recovery.

The image I posted here is handheld so I did not use pixel shift on this one. At home on a tripod I compared images with and w/o pixel shift and was really impressed. But since the images come straight out of the camera I did not use any special software to process them.
