These are AUTO or SCENE Modes. I had asked you for Av, Tv and Tav modes, because there, if applied the right way,
one can see much more. For example a photo in Av-mode, landscape and aperture to f22
The camera will adjust the correct exposure time and the photo should be fine.
But even in AUTO or SCN overexposure should not happen!
It seems very likely that the solenoid is not actuating correctly.
Those could be reasons (and #1 most likely):
1. the solenoid is not sitting proberly on the lever, the plunger is tilted and thus does not close properly
2. bad soldering point or 1 wire off (but usually this effects dark images again!)
3. SLR solenoid instead of DSLR solenoid, those can have too little holding force
4. a filed/sanded plunger with too much material sanded off
So I recommend to open your K70 again and check carefully.
I haven't repaired a K70 for a while, they show up only very very rarely with ABF (which is a good sign)
so I can't remember if it is possible while it is open to insert the battery and do tests, seeing the solenoid in function.
I plan to upload soon a video of a K30 with a wrongly modified green solenoid (see
THIS THREAD There the result is overexposure.
