New Pentax KF Arrived!

This week, my Pentax KF, the DA 55-300mm f/4.5-6.3, and the DA 50 f/1.8 arrived. Monday is when the DA 35 f/2.4 should come. I didn't order my KF with the 18-55 kit, but maybe this summer I will buy the DA 16-50mm f/2.8. I can't wait to try out my new camera this weekend. This is the first Pentax DSLR I've bought since 2006, I think.

It's a good choice. I have a K1 and 9 DFA lenses, but full resolution K1 images don't even fully cover A1 at 300ppi, and paid a ton of money for my kit.
With Pentax KF, you get ~80% of the image resolution of Pentax K1, same HD video capability, 180 degrees flip display, and you pay less than half the price.
Provided light/subject/composition is good (like any other camera), you get good 6000x4000 pictures, even printed on photo-paper as large as A3 or A2.
But I think, Pentax KF at under $1000 price may be the end of an era.

The "best bang for buck" fits the KF in my mind. So, far the I love the fit in hand and the simplicity of the menu system. I've done some random test shots inside the house with the 50mm f/1.8 and I really like what I'm getting so far.
