K70 at the beach - sand in shutter button can lead to screen going dark

Just a word of warning

Brought my K70 to the beach, immediately getting sand over the K70 in some toddler-related chaos, and screen started getting randomly blacked out after that. I was pretty worried the screen folding sensor was broken, but after a lot of dusting it seems just a bit of sand in the shutter button can confuse the half-press sensor, where the camera will e.g. do a single focus but do absolutely nothing else!!

Massaging the shutter button finally removed the issue which helped me understand what was going on, though I might need to repeat it a few times still.

Sand is a monster for cameras, tiny salty glass shards

In my experience sand is far more harmful than rain on photographic gear.
