K-70 USB cable

Just got the new K70, feels familiar, controls are much the same as K50. However, there is no usb interface cable, not missing, they just don;t include it. Does anyone know which cable will work. The K50 cable will not work, I tried that.

The K-70 has a USB2 micro b port, the same connector that's used by most non-apple smartphones.

The K-50 uses a mini 4b connector, on the other hand.

Note that the same micro b cable can also be used with the K-3 (which also supports USB3 micro b, a larger connector), 645Z, or K-1.

Thanks Adam, that helped a bunch. That's the cable my Motorola phone uses.

I think the K-s1 did that too. It's a welcome change not to have yet another cable plugged in for occasional use (except as a tripping hazard or cat's play-toy).

No, you cannot do that because both sides – camera and smartphone have the same micro usb connection.

What you can have is 2 cables – one a micro usb to usb (already mentioned as a “normal charging mobile phone cable” and a usb (female) to micro usb OTG cable (USB OTG: What is it and what can I do with it? - AndroidPIT), this one also comes with a lot of smartphones or can be bought very cheaply.
Connect both via the usb sides and thus have at each end a micro usb connection.

Best regards,
