Nice - and the K-70 doesn't come in humming-bird-friendly (bright) colors either!
Looks like he briefly stuck his tongue out at you though..

Awesome, but all it does is want to ask me my deluge of K-70 questions you probably haven't even begun to work through. As a debut image for a camera, that's one heck of an image. Be sure and start a "post your K-70 images thread."

Awesome image! Do you have the ED WR or the ED PLM WR RE version of the lens? If it's the second version, you might consider adding a review here:
HD Pentax-DA 55-300mm F4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR RE Reviews - DA Zoom Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database
because there aren't any currently.

When I looked at the title "By my fantastic K-70 with HD 55-300mm", I thought you'd mis-spelled "Buy" and I was about to move this to the Marketplace!

That's a beautiful shot. I'm guessing you're pleased with the K-70?

Well done! Our hummers seem a lot more skittish, but then we make them work - they have to go to the flowers rather than a feeder. The camera and lens are in good hands.

Exif shows lens 7 203 which is the HD PENTAX-DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED WR. The PLM is lens 8 197.

As has been posted several times, either version of the 55~300 is a much better lens than it has any right to be at the price.

Hummingbirds arrived a bit early this year. A friend of mine's wife always had feeders out for them and attracts quite a few. This year they arrived before the feeders were set out. So they started tapping on the kitchen window to tell her that they had arrived and were hungry,

When I've got the feeder broken down for its douching, and I'm mixing up a fresh batch of nectar, the locals will hover and *glare* at me through the window. If they weren't so incredibly cool, I don't think I'd put up with their emotional abuse
