On one pentax site a guy who was looking for a new camera asked if K-70 is good for wildlife shooting or not. Most of users concluded that the answer is NO. But looks like it could be used for this kind of photo.

Why? What rationale? (With proper lenses,of course.)

Do you have a link?

Well I could give you a link but it is a Russian Pentax-club forum, so you will hardly understand it) The main problem was AF. Number of AF points, tracking etc., things that are essential for shooting rapidly moving animals.

My cat, Olivia - hand-held shot at 1/13 sec.

This was a hand-held shot at 1/13 sec at f5.6 shutter priority, ISO 1600. The light was very blue so i had to adjust the light in Elements. I'm a newbie to the DSLR world since August 2016 and am taking a follow-up digital photo course at the Cape Cod Art Association. Taking a three-day Winterscapes workshop next week where we'll spend all of Saturday and most of Sunday in the field all over the Cape. Can't wait!

She has trauma in one eye that shows as a white spot in her iris which I would have had to edit out somehow if I shot her with her eyes open. Plus she never would have been still long enough for a hand-held shot if she were not sleeping.

Living in Denmark, and it's winter - everything is grey, even the birds are grey, not like in Panama or Singapore .
But I have my dog (not grey) and the grass is green. So I went out in the garden with my lovely dog and my fantastic K-70 (Christmas present) and the DA 50mm f1,8 lens. I'm new to the world of DSLR cameras - still a lot to learn, here I'm trying to get some depth in the pictures

I'm new to the forum. Got a Pentax K-70 when I realized it would probably be a much better option than a medium-level Nikon camera (especially after the launch of the d5600 ).
This thing is packed with great features. I especially like pixel shift - it's great for taking photos of static objects.
I used the picture below a was a way experiment with pixel shift and focus stacking.
The amount of detail is amazing - I'm not sure what's the best way to upload a high-res photo, if anyone can help?

Equipment: Pentax K-70 (iso 100) + Sigma 17-50mm (f5.6)

.
1. K-70 + 20-40 Ltd:

2. K-70 + HD28-105:

3. K-70 + 20-40 Ltd:

All were shot hand-held and captured as JPEG files, then adjusted and down-sampled in PaintShop Pro X8. Images 2 and 3 were captured using the in-camera HDR mode with Auto Align. Image 3 was captured at ISO 6400.
