It's not a bike but a T28 approaching me, so I thought - heck, it can do it

Nice. The K70 + 55-300PLM makes a great airshow combo, doesn't it? Last airshow I went to, I had been using KP and *300, but switched to the K70 and 55-300PLM after a while. What a difference! So much lighter and the IQ is still great. I'll be using the 55-300PLM next time from the beginning.

It certainly does shiner. Going through the 499 pictures I took, I have only deleted 5-6 because they were clearly out of focus. That's a pretty high keepers rate, I migth delete some more, but that would be for other reasons.
I usually participate in shows twice a week, only difference is the scale of the airplanes
Verdict: it's a gem as well as my K-70

K-70 and 55-300 PLM here too. Match made in heaven, I think.

This wharfmate's boat is several hundred yards away when the sun suddenly breaks through the clouds and haze...

Note: The halyards are solid lines at full res.

These small boat fishermen are about 200 yards away on a dead calm Conception Bay off Harbour Main. The small automated lighthouse in the center bokeh is 7.7 statute miles away according to google earth (and my chart plotter!)

Both are cropped.

This combo of body and lens is truly wonderful.

BTW: I caught my limit of 5 cod and they would not fit into my 50 quart cooler with the cover on.

I just bring some of my planes and my camera - I get to enjoy both hobbies
Perhaps you just need a new plane to get started again?

K-70 with the 16-85 @ 85mm, iso 800-1600 hand held. I love this combo for walk around (also great on KP)!

I recently took a trip to Maui, Hawai'i and decided to lighten my kit with the unobtrusive 35mm f2.4. What an awesome little lens! Though shooting with a prime as my main lens was a new challenge, I was really impressed with the results. Full album available here.
