Falcon in the alley

I was lucky to get this shot last Saturday. The bird had perched briefly on a telephone pole in the alley behind my house in Chicago. Crop of photo taken with K70 and Pentax SMC-A 35-105.

Beautiful shot. Would be nigh impossible to get the same sort here in Newfoundland, though, as our winds are almost never this still. There is one bridge in particular...

(not my pic and I have a different angle in mind)...

LOTS of angles here using google search images: https://www.google.com/search?q=suspension+bridge+la+manche&rlz=1C1GCEA_enCA...FW31SI-BFUZ74M

A wonderful image! The 55-300PLM is one of Pentax best-bang-for-the-buck lenses, one of the APS-C essentials IMO. You've obviously become good friends with it. Well done.

Couple of shots from the garden with the K-70 + PLM and Sigma 100-300mm F4 (2nd version)

No PP at all - just heavy cropping because the cherry tree is about 17m away in the neighbours' garden, and the robin was about 4-5m away and waiting to take the food to the chicks in the nest about 3-4m to my right.

Original shots are sharper but these have been downsized to be acceptable for the forum thread
