Not sure, but I'm using several 128GB cards and it its UHS-I compatible but it's speed is around 30Mbs so while you don't want a slow card, the limit is the camera's write speed.

The K70 accepts SDXC memory cards. The 128 will work just fine as will even larger cards (but they are very expensive 256,512, & 1TB) .You might also consider that the larger the card sometimes they become more complicated to work with in the computer. 128 is a good choice.

2Tb is a the theoretical limit for sdxc, and 1 Tb cards were only recently developed, so I'd say 512 GB for the time being. 64 Gb cards are probably the best value right now.

I have some of the same questions if I may tag on a bit. I've been shooting a K20D for about 6 years and currently using a Transcend SDHC 16GB, at "10" speed, I think. I plan to purchase a couple of additional cards as I will soon be spending a couple of weeks visiting the national parks in Utah. I looked in my manual, but I can't determine the capacity of captured pics. Would 32GB, or possibly 64GB work? Any info would be appreciated.

32GB SDHC cards are the highest you can use in the K20D according to the specs here. The K20D can't use the SDXC cards and the SDHC only go as high as 32GB. Make sure they are class 10. Speed is in the read/write section on the cards itself.

One like this should be good enough. I only use Sandisk now because they're more reliable than other brands and they have a lifetime warranty.

Thank you, Photolady95. I thought 32GB was the max, but wasn't sure. Appreciate the link to B&H.

I'm using a much larger SDXC card, but I see that the question changed to a K20D. On the K-70, has anyone tried an SDXC larger that 128GB, which is what I'm using now. Best practice seems to be using a larger number of smaller SD cards in the event that one fails, so perhaps even if the capability is there, it's best to have a bunch of 32GB in the event there are failures. Just not sure if the swapping cards while in the elements might not lead so some of those failures. If I was doing this for more than leisure, I'd probably be better off with a camera model that supports dual cards for redundancy like the K3II.

Thoughts?
