Caliscouser...that was a great suggestion! I never thought of that initially.
The bulk of my photography is wildlife...mainly landscape, close up flower shots...that kind of thing.
That said, I also take a lot of beach shots (hence the need for a weather-resistant camera) and waterskiing photos.
I am not much into people/portrait type photography ;-)

Remember that a weather resistant camera body with a non-WR lens mounted is basically a non-WR assembly. The only lens I can think of that really works, then, is the Pentax 16-50. And I have a hard time recommending it based on everything I've read and heard.

Pentax 12-24 seems more up your street based on what you've said of your favorite subjects. OR an 18-55 WR kit lens and something wide like the DA 15.

Lots of options to think about on the wide end.

Okay given that weather sealing is important I will change my suggestion

The 16-85 WR will give you full weather sealing with your K-70 and is good for landscapes and general purpose use.
