I bought camera in England and I had to send it back to England.
But I give it to service in Slovenia and they don't recognise the warranty.
When you get the camera back, it would be good to know what parts were replaced. If they include part numbers, that would be even better.

Even better would be: Photos of the damaged parts or ask them just to return the damaged parts as well.

In the European Union there is a 2 years warranty for Pentax!

England yet belongs to the European Union. If they don't recognise the warranty, then they are not an official repairplace.

Even is Ricoh EU would make a fuzz you could force them to accept it because by law in the EU warranty is 2 years!

My K-70 was gone for about a month when they replaced the "diaphragm block assy" camera works well now but I have lost my drive to get out and take photos!

Good luck!

The final report. Camera is back.
I did take few quick photos and all seems to be OK.

The werdict is:

- exchanged aperture mechanism and controller.

I can't imagine what sort of controller was faulty and needed to be replaced and I am not going to call service what they have exchanged.

So my story ends here. Untill new glitch with K70...

This is the usual standard repair (or better one of the two standard repairs):

They did not exchange the "aperture mechanism" AND "aperture controller"
but they exchanged the:

"APERTURE MECHANISM CONTROLER"

which is also called

DIAPHRAGM-CONTROL-UNIT

So have fun with your K-70 and if ever the problem returns, let us know
but hopefully it won't!
