I've used--and possibly even abused--my K-70 a bit out on the ocean in a heeling sailboat in salt spray, wind, and rain. In my experience it is very good at keeping water out, but given some of my use it would not totally surprise me if a seal failed: It has bounced into the cockpit more than once. The camera shouldn't be considered weather
proof.
I have found the ASTROTRACER unit does NOT stand up to weather, BTW. So I would suggest NOT using it to geotag your pics on bad weather days.
