K70 with monopod?

I know you are to turn off the shake reduction w a tripod ….. is it the same when using a monopod w K70? thanks in advance

Good question but overall I would leave SR on with a monopod. With a tripod and the camera completely still, SR is only going to self-induce blur. But with a monopod, you're still panning from side to side and tilting a bit up and down ever so slightly. The ultimate answer would be to run tests comparing with and without SR on a monopod.

I shoot sports with the DA* 60-250 and a Vanguard VEO AM-264-TR monopod and travel with HD DA Limiteds and a Veo AM-324 monopod. SR is always utilized. A monopod adds some stability but not complete stability.

At slow shutter speeds, SR with monopod sounds like a good option, I have tested and compared the combination. Your mileage may vary.

A gentleman from Tamron recommended using stabilization with a monopod.
