Zoom in Live view

Can you zoom in in live view to focus check ( manual focus)?

Generally yes.

How depends on the camera: for a K-1, you can rotate the rear e-dial (see K-1 manual, page 40) (This is harder to find in the Index than it should be!)

In answer to my own question, it's an illogical ( to me ) press of the OK button and then use the dial.

It is hard to find in the K-70 manual (p47), but pressing the "OK" button in live view should zoom to a magnified view. On some models (e.g. my K-3), this is a 100% (1:1 pixel mapping) magnification, but may be different on the K-70.

Yes, it's the OK button to get to the focus, and the dial to zoom in and out. Works that way for the 645Z and K1. Extremely helpful, not just for focus but also when using a polarizer (at least in my work...).
