These are AUTO or SCENE Modes. I had asked you for Av, Tv and Tav modes, because there, if applied the right way,
one can see much more. For example a photo in Av-mode, landscape and aperture to f22
The camera will adjust the correct exposure time and the photo should be fine.

But even in AUTO or SCN overexposure should not happen!

It seems very likely that the solenoid is not actuating correctly.

Those could be reasons (and #1 most likely):

1. the solenoid is not sitting proberly on the lever, the plunger is tilted and thus does not close properly
2. bad soldering point or 1 wire off (but usually this effects dark images again!)

3. SLR solenoid instead of DSLR solenoid, those can have too little holding force
4. a filed/sanded plunger with too much material sanded off

So I recommend to open your K70 again and check carefully.

I haven't repaired a K70 for a while, they show up only very very rarely with ABF (which is a good sign)

so I can't remember if it is possible while it is open to insert the battery and do tests, seeing the solenoid in function.
I plan to upload soon a video of a K30 with a wrongly modified green solenoid (see THIS THREAD There the result is overexposure.

I opened the camera again, unscrewed the solenoid, resoldered one of the wires, seated it back, made sure the plunger was engaged, and voila, the camera is functioning perfectly. The reason for overexposures was probably the improperly seated solenoid. Thanks again, photogem!
I have just one suggestion for amending your K-70 tutorial - please add that to check that the new solenoid is installed the right way, prior to reassembling the body, take several frames. You'll need to seat back the top part of the body, because it has all the controls. That's what I did, just put the top of the body back on the "guts', snapped on a lens, and took several exposures in different modes. If you are happy with the results, put the rest of the body panels back.

Well, that's good news, particular because remote diagnosis is a bit tricky at times!
And good that you did the test with the front still off and got this idea me adding this information to the tutorial!

I have to check how I can alter the tutorial, because here in the DSLR specific forums that's not possible after some time.
So I see that I add this information in the same tutorial in the DIY section and ask a moderator to copy it in for me here.

I actually have that "extra test" in the K30/50/500 tutorial because there is very straight-forward.

Tutorials of K-70 and K-S2 in the DIY-section are now completed for this extra test so that the problem @DMITRYcan be avoided:

Thanks MarkJerling for your help and support!
