Pentax K-70 new firmware needed with new color profiles!

Missing update firmware for K-70 with new color profiles: MIYABI and SATOBI and new function replacing the astrotracer would also be useful ;-)

I believe Miyabi is just the japanese name for the Brilliant profile.

K-70 will not get Satobi. This is according to the official announcement.

The only way you can get Satobi for any camera is by using the new version of the Pentax Digital Camera Utility: Digital Camera Utility 5 Update for Windows : Software Downloads | RICOH IMAGING

Shoot in RAW and develop in DCU and you will be able to get the Satobi profile.

You can use DCU as a dumb converter without development of any sort.

Select tab 'Browser' and open the RAW from file (DNG or PEF).
Then select tab 'Laboratory' and in the Custom Image window select SATOBI from the pull-down list (upper most icon), a converted version of the photo is shown. Optionally tweak it with the sliders.
When the Custom Image window is not visible check Window | Custom Image from the menus.
Save the result with menu File | Save As with image processing ...

You do not need a firmware upgrade, you need a gear upgrade! (At Ricoh's they want to sell camera's, that is how they can keep the shareholders satisfied.)

If you really want the extra profile "in camera", check out the adjustments in DCU and copy them to a User Mode.
Alternatively, save in RAW then process in-camera with the settings adjustments as noted on a piece of paper or even on your portable device.
Personally, some of these colour profiles are a little too subtle for me to really notice the difference on the camera's screen, but if you're using an external HDMI monitor for your in-camera processing the changes can be easily seen

K1 and K1 II just got updated firmware to add SATOBI custom image and Astrotracer Type 3 (whatever that is). So here's hoping that the K-70 doesn't get left out in the cold.

The K-70 was released in 2016, not? I'm guessing it is nearing the end of its life span and Pentax will (eventually) release a new version to replace it. The odds of it getting a firmware update are nonexistent. As for the new astro tracer, there is no indication that the K-70 could handle such a firmware. The K-1 did not get this astro tracer with the update, only the Satobi jpeg profile (the K-1 has GPS/astro tracer already so not a big deal, but I'm not sure that it could handle computations to do the new version without calibration).

Color profile is easy to add , but astrotracer it probably requires a better processor in camera body...?

The official announcement was that the K-70 will not be getting the color profiles. Something about the development forks of the firmware being different. So it may not be as easy as you think.

Miyabi means "elegance" in Japanese.

The name is used for a lot of Japanese special products, such as knives or the famous Myabi moving-Coil cartridges.
