K-70 Monitor Screen Fault

Just turned my relatively new K-70 on and the rear monitor is amess just lines and can't make out much detail.

Tried turn it off and on no change

New battery and sim still no change .

Is their any way you can reset or reboot the camera?

For a hard reset, remove the battery for 24 h, charge the battery to full. and restart the camera 24 h later.
There is also a way to reset the setting using the LCD screen, but this would be of no use in this situation.
How old is your K-70? Still under warranty?

If the K-70 has an HDMI output (I'm pretty sure it does) and the OP has an HDMI computer display and compatible cable, it should be possible to operate the menus via that...

I Have removed battery and will see what happens after 24 hrs. Thank you

The HDMI idea is great if the reset by battery doesn't work will try that. Thank you

If you wiggle the screen does the LCD flicker at all?
Might indicate a loose wire connection...

The 24 hour wait dit not help.

Went to Pentax service centre that examined the screen. Found a crack in the corner of off screen that was causing the problem so needs a screen replacement.

Thanks for your help. This will remind me to turn the screen inwards to protect it from any knocks.
