Hmmm. Maybe. But let me restate my position. I wasn't saying DON'T make small bodies. I was saying DON'T STOP making larger bodies.
I haven't held a K-7. I do have an *ist DS. I much prefer the size of the K10D/K20D to that of the *ist DS. The *ist DS looks, frankly, kind of absurd with, say, the Pentax DA* 50-135 attached to it, and in my hands anyway, the balance doesn't feel right. If Pentax made only pancake lenses, smaller would be great.
Or if Pentax were to start making 4/3 format cameras, then smaller bodies would make more sense, since the lenses are smaller, too (or so I think). Would that be a smart move for Pentax? Not to discontinue their K-mount bodies; but add a 4/3 body to the line-up. If you want to tell me why this would be crazy I'm eager to hear.
