Originally posted by Class A Dear Pentax, your policy of allowing going back to older firmware versions on the K-1 (II) was awesome. This meant one could safely try a new firmware version without being forced to live with a change that turned out to not work for one, for one reason or another.
With firmware version V1.60, that policy has changed.
Is there a certain technical reason for that, or have you changed your mind about allowing users to freely move between firmware versions?
If possible at all, please keep allowing users to backtrack from a new firmware version, if they feel that is best for them.
It’s the K1 that is moving to v1.60, the MKII is going to v1.3, but the newly added note applies to both
