I really doubt that anybody with power at Ricoh will read this.

Please add Highlight AE like on the GR III. I'm sure you can do that by firmware update...

PLEASE... Execute, rapidly, on those lenses overdue on the roadmap (i.e. 80-200 f/4), and those that are planned (i.e. 70-300)!! If these lenses were available, I would already own a pair of K-1MII

PLEASE stick to making DSLR's with OVF.
I think ending up being the only manufacturer still producing camera's with an OVF might actually be a pretty good niche market for Pentax.

Please add an option in menu that enables Catch In Focus when using M42 lenses with the 30120 adapter. As it is now if the lens flange is painted it does allow Catch In Focus to work.

This is a suggestion thread.

It is not intended as a guessin' thread. Or a supposin' thread.. it is a suggestin' thread.

I am encouraging everyone to promote any good ideas they have for products that Pentax could develop and features they could add to their current line.

I'll start:

1. Weather sealed professional flash units. These could use a propriety radio triggering system which would allow control of the light outputs remotely from the camera ( assuming they are off camera). Faster recharge times (2 seconds or less) with a battery pack and a higher guide number if you please.
I mean come on.. you offer me all of that in a flash unit that is 500-700 bucks? My mouth will water and my wallet will open.

2. Expansion Grip. Someone suggested this before and I thought it was a great idea, you could come up with some innovative features to include in a grip. Some suggestions:
- A trigger for those flash units I just talked about
- Wifi connectivity to a computer
- Battery power, not just a battery compartment. When the primary battery in the camera is almost depleted, it would switch to grip power.
- Additional memory card slot for dual writes
- GPS
- Backup hard drive. Think about that! You would be able to go on vacation and be backing up all of your RAW files on a 120gig hard drive in the grip.
- Focus assist laser. This might be alittle tricky though.

Well that is what I have thought of thus far, I know alot of you have very good ideas, feel free to come and share. Hopefully someone from Pentax will see it. If you think your idea is really good you can send it to Pentax, I know I will.
Have pentax team up with a smartphone manufacturer.

Please do not abandon the ability to move between firmware versions

Dear Pentax, your policy of allowing going back to older firmware versions on the K-1 (II) was awesome. This meant one could safely try a new firmware version without being forced to live with a change that turned out to not work for one, for one reason or another.

With firmware version V1.60, that policy has changed.
Is there a certain technical reason for that, or have you changed your mind about allowing users to freely move between firmware versions?

If possible at all, please keep allowing users to backtrack from a new firmware version, if they feel that is best for them.

It’s the K1 that is moving to v1.60, the MKII is going to v1.3, but the newly added note applies to both

I've started using Image Sync a bit more with the K3iii. However I was disappointed to discover it can not be loaded onto the Apple Silicon M1/M2 Macintoshes.
So could Ricoh please allow its use on the M1/M2 machines,
or
Could you please produce a Laptop dedicated version that would work on a wide range of machines.

Thanks
