Pentax APS-C flagship body & lens kits.
Has Ricoh considered selling a Pentax K-3II kit with the HD DA 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 ED DC WR lens as a kit? That or the HD 55-300 PLM? The other manufacturers are bundling some good lenses with their competing DSLR/DSLT models.
To give you an idea:
Nikon D7200 ($996.95) + Nikon 18-140mm ($496.95) = $1,296.95 at B&H.
That's a $196.95 savings for the consumer, but increased sale for the manufacturer.
The Canon 80D ($1,099) + Canon 18-135mm ($599.95) = $1,399 at B&H.
That's a $299.95 savings for the consumer, but increased sale for the manufacturer.
The Sony A77II ($1,198) + Sony 16-50mm ($748) = $1,496 at B&H.
That's a $450 savings for the consumer, but increased sale for the manufacturer.
The same Sony A77II ($1,198) + Sony 18-135mm ($498) = $1,496 at B&H.
That's a $200 savings for the consumer, but increased sale for the manufacturer.
I've been wanting to get a K-3II & that 16-85mm DC lens, but there aren't any incentives to motivate a sale for me. I'm also waiting to see what the future holds for the next generation Pentax APS-C flagship model as well. When I look at the other manufacturer's incentives, it can get tempting at times. There are mirroless models with some incentives too like the Olympus E-M1 ($999) & the Pro 12-40mm f/2.8 ($999) lens that sells for $1,299 at B&H.
