Upgrading to a K-70 from a K-30: is it worth ?

Good day.
My question is simple: upgrading from a K-30 to a K-70 is it worth ?
I shoot mainly 'fashion', street fashion with semi-pro models... my biggest problem is autofocus with moving people (model that walk and i've to 'shoot' them). Regarding image quality, my K-30 works well.. my main problem is to get perfect eyes/face focus...
So: is K-70 "my camera" instead K-30 ?

Or do i need to change (please no) brand ?

Thanks

I would recommend you rent a KP before you make a decision. I hear the autofocus is much better than your K30. I like the K3 for the burst and dual card slots.

Good luck!

Relating to your main necessity (better autofocus) yes!

The AF module in the K-70 is the same as in the K-5ii. It's probably better than the one in the K-30, but you'd see a much bigger improvement with K-3, K-3ii or KP, IMHO. You can probably find a gently used K-3 for a price similar to that of a new K-70 too. Of course, the K-70 has other benefits - newer sensor, pixelshift, bulb timer, etc - but the build quality of the K-3, its burst rate and buffer are all much superior to the K-70. Just some thoughts...

I went from a K-30 to a K-70 and I don't regret it for second. Pair it up with either the DA 18-135 or the new(ish) DA 55-300 PLM and you will have super fast (and silent) focusing. My DA 18-135 stays on my camera unless I need to change it for a specific reason.

dont do it, if you are not in need of better video capabilities...
You will even loose the AF-assist light feature on your AF540FGZ which actually should be 100% compatible...

and that af-light on my 540 actually came in pretty handy when taking photos at "indoor events"

The only thing missing for me when I jumped from K-50 to K-70 was the Off-Camera Flash Option.
