Firmware update to astrotracer for lunar/solar tracking.

Since the tracking ability is already there, why not add lunar/solar tracking to gps capabilities for O-GPS1 and any gps native model.

It would have to be integrated with video mode because the exposures used to capture either are so short you don't get blur. That could be pretty cool though if it were to work.

There is possibly a legal reason it doesn't support this.. if joe numbskull decides to track the sun with is brand new K-1 and 150-450mm but doesn't use a solar filter and fries the sensor and melts the aperture blades, they don't want joe getting upset and trying to sue them for damages.
