My guess is:
- they are flooded with new toys to test (sometimes in nice locations) by certain brands, and they're very gear-centric so the new features are always a huge bonus - so they'd naturally and without realizing become partial to said brands. Pentax is seen as failing for not being Sony.
- they feel good having an "Other" brand to compare favorably their popular-brands-of-choice against ("Star Eater on steroids"...)
- their reader base by large is favoring other brands, and feel good to have an "Other" brand to compare favorably their popular-brands-of-choice against

In other words, it's plain old bias. I don't believe it has anything to do with Amazon sales.
It's just frustrating. The A7 III's issues have been clearly documented with regard to over aggressive raw noise reduction and yet, it is not even mentioned in their cons of the A7 III, while they pounded it in a couple of places in the K-1 II review.

To read DP Review it would be easy to draw the implication that the only brand massaging RAW files is Pentax with the K-1 II, whereas it is clear that Sony and Nikon have done worse with their mirrorless cameras.

I don't know why DP Review isn't balanced in this respect. I too doubt it is a mandate from Amazon, but they definitely aren't an unbiased source.

After analyzing some sample stills, I think I should take back my words. It seems the image accelerator actually improves the IQ at high ISO.

Check the Dpreview review of the camera. They say something about it there.
I believe that review has been thoroughly debunked.
