SD card speed test shows not all cards are created equal.

I used 6 types of SD cards, 32G and 64G, they are different R/W speed specifications and a priced differently. Performing a write speed test using a USB3.0 card reader shows that there isn't much difference between the most expensive card and the ones sold at half the price.

Write speeds:

Sandisk Extreme Pro 64Gb 95Mb/s: measured 70.6Mb/s ; Price ~ 25 Eur
Sandisk Extreme 64Gb 150Mb R/60Mb/s W: measured 58.5Mb/s ; Price ~ 18 Eur
Samsung 64 Pro+ 95/90Mb/s: measured 68.5Mb/s ; Price ~ 106 Eur (discontinued)
Transcend 64G, 90Mb/s 600x: measured 58.5Mb/s: Price ~25 Eur.
Transcend 32Gb, 45Mb/s 300x: measured 21.5Mb/s ; Price ~ $15 (discontinued)
Transcend 32Gb, 90Mb/s 600x: measured 25Mb/s ; Price ~ 6.5 Eur.

The card reader can make a huge difference in performance, as can the device driver, and where the data is going.
.
I have a Kingston and Autek that outperform several other readers. I think I have an old Lexar that is decent too.

Which card reader did you use for your tests?
What are the computer speccs (e.g. i7 3GHz) ?
Storage - SSD, HD, or NVME SSD ?
What software did you use for testing? (e.g. drag and drop with windows explorer, Silky Pix, or a benchmarking program?)

I copied a zipped data package from the PC SSD to the USB3 SD card reader. You are right, I suspect that the Sandisk Ext. Pro 64 and Samsung Pro+ should achieve more than 70.6Mb/s. Normal USB3 only should be the limit.

Not about Ricoh cameras, which is what Product suggestions and feedback forum is about, but about accessories, moved to correct forum.
