Suggestion: gr iii gyroscope release

Hello everyone!

I though it would be nice to have a mode/menu option to release shutter when camera is level (along one or more axis). I see two use scenarios: 1st is to save reaction time and maybe capture a fleeing shot, and second to be really stealthy and unintrusive (ex. camera on a strap and I can take shots one-handed without my finger on release button)

Could be quite uniqe feature as far as I know, seems possible to add in firnware update. What do you think?

I've moved your thread to the right place.

I feel a more reliable approach (to ensure the shot is actually taken at the right time) would be to support a bluetooth/radio remote that could be held in your other hand. I use this feature all the time with my Note stylus It might be very hard for a user to judge, on-the-fly, what is in fact level.

Hmm... maybe. It might prevent you taking the shot (which you could easily straighten up in processing)
In the meanwhile, why not using the horizon correction?

Edit: I misread the post... it's about a soft of an automated trigger. I'm not sure how well you could control it...
But I'm not deleting my post, as the question made me realize the GR III has indeed horizon correction, and it was Off on my camera

Firmware v1.20 added this feature. They don't fully explain if enabling it reduces how effective SR is, I'm assuming it does not. But the user manual supplement
(link from this link Ricoh GR III Firmware v1.20 Released - Firmware Updates | PentaxForums.com)
mentions horizon correction has less range when SR is enabled (1 degree instead of 1.5). In either case, it's useful though it seems a bit less than on Pentax DSLRs.
I usually have horizon correction enabled

Thank you, I will research this direction. Would be nice to be able to trigger shutter via bluetooth, but maybe I can go with wifi+app feature.
