That's why I recommend 1.4 for low light. The one stop between ƒ2.8 and ƒ4 makes for much heavier glass. Very few of my images are taken between ƒ1.4 and ƒ4. I see the faster lenses better for focussing, but I still shoot ƒ5.6 for most images and ƒ8-ƒ16 for landscapes. My only ƒ1.4 keepers were shot as proof of concept images, but I don't for the most part gravitate towards that kind of image.
