KP Shutter noise videos

Maybe someone else has already posted (too many threads to keep track of!). I found these videos of the KP's shutter in action. Unfortunately, there isn't one comparing it to a "sonic boom" body.

In the first video the sound seems to be dampened, in all other it sounds like K-70, K-S2, K-50. It could be an issue of sound settings of the recording device in the first one.

I'd have to hear a K-50/S2/70 in the same setup before making that determination. In another thread, someone said the exact opposite - that it DIDN'T sound like K-50, etc. The tone is clearly different from the K-5, but I'm not hearing the harshness I'd expect from the "sonic boom" shutter.

The K-5 had the quietest shutter, every Pentax before and since has not matched it IMO. (Mirrored Pentax of course.)

This is true, although I remember arguments whether the K-01 managed to beat it or not, but no definitive answer. (I'm trying to forget the K-01 Wars.)

I don't remember a real investigation into what makes the "loud" shutters loud. Since the "shutter noise" is really three sounds (mirror going up, aperture stopping down, shutter tripping), changing any one of those could have a drastic effect on the overall sound.
