KP related links - Previews, Reviews, Samples

I thought it would be good to have a thread to post any links to KP related resources found on the web.

To start with, here are a few from Japan.

Someone who visited the Pentax service centre in Osaka and took some photos of the camera and the brochure.
PENTAX KP??????; ????????????K - LOVE PENTAXYZ
Actually, I picked up the same brochure from the showroom in Tokyo. If you're wondering what's inside, it is basically the same as what's on the Ricoh product descriptions on their website.
PENTAX KP | RICOH IMAGING

A couple of blog posts featuring the black and silver versions from the Osaka-based retailer Yaotomi. The first one includes videos to compare the shutter sound.
?????????????? PENTAX KP ???????????????? !!! - ??????????by????????
The second one has couple of good photos with the K-5ii and K-70 to compare the size.

I used their Camera Comparator to compare the KP to the K-3, and it seems like its high ISO performance is one to two stops better at ISO 6400. Impressive.

Here is part one of a review from Japan.

Not sure if any of the images are full size. Don't want to use too much data on my phone to find out.

Part two of the same review. Lots of ISO 12,800 shots in this one. Impressive that the high ISO ability allows you to freeze action in those dark conditions.

Since the KP has been on sale for a few days, some user reviews are starting to show up on Kakaku.com.

Of course they are in Japanese, so you'll probably have to use a translator, but there are some images, and the first four people seem very happy.

This shooting report from the Japanese store Map Camera has some nice images in it.
?????? | KASYAPA | 410:???????????????1??PENTAX KP? | PENTAX & RICOH

Those birds (hawks?) in the first shot must have been pretty close for that shot to have been taken with the 20-40.

The gear shot at the end with the three red-ring limiteds shows the ideal compact kit in my opinion (15, 20-40, 70). I know the red accents weren't popular with the Pentax faithful, but they look very smart in that picture.

Makes we want to buy the DA 20-40 too.. but it is too expensive here in my area and the mix reviews even baffles me.

Thanks to you @JPT

Indeed!

My 20-40 is the most expensive piece of camera equipment I've ever bought (my DA*50-135 was bought used, and my k-30 was a college graduation present), and I have no regrets. It's definitely worthy of the limited badge imo.

The IR comparameter tests are very very impressive. This is looking more and more like it'll be my next camera.

That picture there is for me what the KP is all about.
If I had to run a small, versatile, general purpose, 3 lens do-it-all K-mount kit this would be it.

Another Japanese review from DC Watch. Some very high ISO pictures in this one. I wish more reviews would review cameras based on printed output, rather than pixel peeping. I suspect that some of these high ISO pictures would be quite usable for small prints.
