I think that perhaps it's still front focusing a bit, but it's pretty close - at the aperture I used it works reasonably well.
You might try shooting at a larger aperture. ƒ9 gives quite a bit of DOF and makes it tough to tell if your AF needs adjusting.

Because they are always seen in the bush, I used to wonder why these macropods were called Swamp Wallabies. Now I know.
Great stuff Des.

I would go for colour personally, because you have those Autumn goodness going on and I think it actually assists with the fog than distracts.

Both work really well, but I prefer the colour version. An excellent shot.

Haven't been shooting with my KP much but when I got it out tonight, I was surprised - and pleased - to rediscover just how 'right' it feels in my hands. And the DA 21 somehow seems to see the world the way I usually do. Which sometimes happens to be in black and white, with quite a bit of contrast.

Galahs are quite common and widespread in Australia (and becoming more so), but I do find them irresistibly photogenic. Two shots with the KP + DA 55-300 PLM.

Great shot of a bird I never knew existed! That hooked bill looks to be related to its name.

This is some kind of hawk on a shrub before the sun set. KP and 55-300 PLM.

"Why is it called a butcher bird?
Butcherbirds are insect eaters for the most part, but will also feed on small lizards and other vertebrates. They get their name from their habit of impaling captured prey on a thorn, tree fork, or crevice."

A couple from yesterday with the DA*300, not great photos, but it was nice to walk a few miles of beach with nobody around but a few birds.
