I hate shots. Just not this one. Lane County (Oregon)'s drive-thru clinic at the fairgrounds this morning was amazingly friendly and efficient, thanks to what looked like scores of volunteers from Rotary and elsewhere. Just 40 minutes from driving in to driving out, including wait time in the parking lot until I was deemed safe to go (at 8:57 a.m., as my truck's window notes). A year after the madness began, there's hope for normal life.

I also missed a wonderful photo while waiting in line when three of the volunteers running the clinic, all of whom had been standing out in the cold rain, gathered around one of those tall heat lamps you see in outdoor dining tents and warmed their frozen hands around the flame. If only I had brought the 55-300 PLM. If only

All with the KP and 15/4 Ltd.

Looked as if these colored vertical things stood along the overpath, not on the wall of the building. I don't know if it's you or the architect, but either way congrats for tricking my eyes.

Thanks. The DA 55-300 PLM made that shot relatively easy to capture.

Here's a winter scene captures with the DA 21:

New to me 35 Limited.

Hello all. I picked up the refurbished 35 Limited from Ricoh for a nice price. I have no idea why it needed to be refurbished and I haven't used it much yet. This is the back of a playing card, wohoo! So, can anyone have a look and see if there are any glaring issues with this lens? I have 14 days to send back. Glad for any input. And I will try to share some nicer photos soon.

Thanks Ahead of time.

Well it might not be straight on. So that is potentially between the seat and the shutter button. I will try to make the next photo more carefully. Lets see if the card is actually rectangular.

Still getting used to the KP and with lockdown somewhat limited what I can do so I plonked a vase of flowers on the desk so I could try the camera with a Revuenon 55mm f1.2 though this image is at f2.8.

A bit grey today but I decided I needed a walk, plus it gave me an excuse to try the KP and my new DA 55-300 PLM outside - actually that was the incentive as I haven't been out for months. So boots on and a trek through the mud to the local canal - Stockton locks, a flight of seven. I thought I would try out the low light high ISO performance.

Had a pair of Pileated woodpeckers visit yesterday.
Here's one of 'em, shot through a window, cropped, with the DA*300mm.

Very nice shots. We are quite familiar with Stockton, and look forward to getting out on our boat again soon.

Two couples from my marina leased a canal boat for a month in England a couple of seasons ago. Except for the fact that learning to maneuver without a keel (all sailboaters in this group) caused some problems at first, they absolutely loved it!

I hope they didn't dink bridge 23
On a summer's evening drifting along the canal, stopping for the occasional beer, I can imagine is very enjoyable...
