A Local Arboretum

A Local Arboretum - cropped about 85% - Photoshop used to add some contrast and exposure and touch up lens flares.

This image is SHARP and shows the results of the latest AF lens adjustments to the KP....this Sigma is an excellent lens

Incredible and beautiful picture! Is it composite or a single exposure?

It looks sharp. Which Sigma is it? (EXIF shows many possible values)

Neither. It is what I call a "blend" by which I mean that all photos were taken over about a 10 minute period with the camera fixed on the tripod. The sky is about 25 short exposures, stacked in Sequator (free software) for noise reduction and to align stars. The foreground is a separate set of about 5 exposures using light painting with a hand torch, with lower ISO and adjusted focus and then blended in GIMP using the lighten mode.

I use the word composite to refer to images taken in different places or times and combined in postpro - but that's possibly just me - and could open up a whole can of worms and opinions

You put a lot of work in it, great result!

Understand your use of blend and composite. I wrote composite because it was the first that came to my mind.

Wow! Nice work. Could you post a single exposure showing what the shed and the Milkyway looks like before processing?
