I rarely get the opportunity to work on location as most of my commercial portraiture is bound to the studio, so I jumped at the chance to work with a group of musicians from Adelaide University over the weekend.

Pentax KP- SMCP-FA31mm f/1.8 Limited ISO 100 F/8 1/180th Godox BM 600 with 60X90cm strip light.

While I wouldn't call this my best work, It was a lot of fun. As a musician myself I do enjoy discussing music with seasoned professionals.

It was quite a contrast working like this, I'm more accustomed to working in a controlled studio with models who are confident and know how to pose.
Great color and processing, and I really like the poses.

I was prepping the KP for a moon shot tonight, when my Heron friend flew in for just a minute- or less.

A trip to the big smoke over the weekend gave me an opportunity to visit the Tate Modern (and the National gallery, Hyde Park, bomb around London on Boris bikes and generally exhaust myself). I didn't do too much with the camera but the Tate modern building is itself amazingly atmospheric.

This was taken with the 15mm Ltd at 800 iso, 1/90 at F4, one of those occasions when I held the camera at waist level, flicked to liveview and flipped out the screen to compose the shot. Went for a shot which attempts to do the atmosphere of the building justice

The 15mm is definitely my go to indoor spaces lens now

Moon shot by KP, with Sigma 50-500. Cropped.
Last month's nearly full moon; weather was not so good, cloudy and hazy here.

Needing a break from my writing assignments for this semester, I went out on a walk to photograph some wildlife.

Just bought a KP. I'm always a couple years behind.

Really great camera. Love the high ISO performance upgrade form the K-3!

At 6400 ISO and DA* 300mm F4

Thinning out the carrots DA 20-40 Limited

The reason I bought it. DA* 300mm F4. Not the most dynamic picture. Really dark and overcast. But a good test to try the lens for wildlife.
