Cedar Waxwing. KP and DFA 150-450. This combo has been my go to for birding lately

Those wax wings sure get around. I see them here at 47N even in winter. Here they tend to stay in deep spruce stands and so are hard to see unless they are next to a trail through said woods.

Not one of my best shots. I just wanted to praise the the colors produced with the KP. This was taken with a Super Takumar 55mm f1.8 lens I acquired with 3 other lenses. I expected to sell it "as is" due to its apparent poor condition but first decided to try it on the KP. SOOC jpeg.

They sure do! We have them up here at 52N in the winter too.

A few from the 2023 Williamtown Air Show

The planes spend most of their time at relatively low altitude over the ocean and the steep hills along the Newcastle coast means you are often about level with the aircraft. All taken with the DA*300 on the Kp (with a bit of cropping). The F-35A was doing it's thing while I was trying to find a carpark
