You will be glad you did if you take even a small number of images every week. I try to use mine at least 5 days a week, but would love it if I could get a chance to shoot images every day.

Here the water light takes on a new character each day. I really enjoy these long exposures with my new 35mm; some as long as two seconds and an ND2 at 100 iso. Good times.
Lovely shot! Nice work.

We can get shots like that now, but it's not fog, it's smoke from all the fires in the area.
I would hope that's over soon, it's hard to imagine. Stay safe!

Its really the best money I have ever spent. Didn't even have buyers remorse.

I think that my initial Pentax purchase of a K-50 may qualify since it got me to the point of feeling I needed to purchase a KP, but I must agree with the sentiment. (My wife is jealous of the KP since I may like it better than her!)

Here is one of our pets taken with the KP and DA*55 1.4 lens. 1/400 at F1.6, iso 1000. Handheld on an unsteady subject. I was wanting a view of her looking toward me but every time I held up the camera she would look away.

I like black and white, and I like what Fuji and Panasonic have done with their Acros and L Monochrome film simulations respectively. I shoot in RAW+Jpeg so using digital filters means I have the best of both worlds. This particular filter was on the Pentax Q, and was highly regarded. I don't know if it made its way to other Pentax cameras, but I know it's not in my K5iis, but happily it is back in the KP. You have to take care with your metering, but the tones are wonderful - deep blacks, lovely mid-tones and bright whites. I cropped some for square format - my favourite aspect ratio. I'm in France for a week and took these this morning... A bright sunny day!
Thanks for bringing this up. I have been experimenting with this filter and also using Raw+Jpeg, it produces some lovely tones with those deep blacks. Metering as you mention can be an issue as I found with some shots with too much sky in them, but against a solid background it works well.

Great! Glad to hear it. Love the image of the Mods in Brighton. Post some B+W if you can - love to see how a pro would use the bold monochrome filter.

I've been happily using my KP along with a K1 this summer. I've only taken snaps since I'm traveling with others, but I think a couple of them are reasonable.

For some reason I like this photo. Not quite sure why, but I like it (KP, DFA 28-105)

Denali:

I've been mostly using the KP with the DA*300 and 1.4TC, a good combination. I've even managed to get a few pictures of wild things, though not many good ones. I liked the puffins.
