looks pretty good for 6400!

Shiner if possible could you please have a go at some animal/bird photos while they are moving and see how the auto-focus keeps up with a fast shutter speed e.g 1500-2500?

thanks!

Here is a shot from my first outing with the KP. Shot in RAW; only edit was to boost the vibrancy a bit to better bring out the color.

Smc PENTAX-DA* 60-250mm F4 [IF] SDM @ 60mm, ISO 500, f13, 1/250.

Shiner, (totally just my opinion!) I'd suggest renaming the title of this thread to "Post your KP Shots Here", I always liked that about the K3 photo thread, you get a real range of shots there. The K01 thread with the word best in it, I don't contribute to nearly as often.

Can't this be done with a "no-PLM" lens?

Thanks! No doubt it can. But I want a PLM lens... But for me to get out somewhere to "have a go at some animal/bird photos while they are moving", is... hard... lol. 60-hour-a-week job

that is so ridiculous of Pentax the whole idea of this camera is to have different grips, they should get their act together and supply the said grips

I thought the extra grips were always going to be an add on / extra item?

I agree- the grips should be included as part of the design. For fast moving action shots, check out the "AF-C examples with KP" thread- very convincing and not with the PLM zoom lens!

With my large hands, the only time I might even consider anything other than the largest grip is if I plan to walk around with a limited prime all day.
