I am more than happy with mine.
I see...

I have to admit my ignorance when it comes to caniconsony, I really have no idea what they're offering in terms of equivalent release year and price point. I'd be interested to know if they can;

1) Do Av Bracketing, a feature I find extremely useful and almost always use now
2) Pixel Shift
3) Compact form, but changable grips if you want
4) 24mp
5) Tilt screen
6) Electronic Shutter that can;

a) work in AF.C mode
b) work in continuous shooting mode
c) work without the VF on (ie use OVF)
d) is completely silent when in use

Yup I'm happy with mine
These are some of the things I have found useful that for example the K-1 can't always do.

And the images it produces are pretty nice and only limited by the operator!

Yep, I've said it before, if I was smart enough to design a camera for myself, not just for function and ergonomics but also for looks, it would be the KP.
I've loved all of my Pentax cameras, from film days to present, none as much as this one.

I think my only gripe with it is using that little toggling button to switch to LV mode, I far preferred the physical tactile button of the LV on the K-1 located top left. If there was a way to customise the KP to toggle to LV (and back) from their Fx2 button (in the same place), I would be really chuffed!

Since I bought my KP after Christmas we've had some spells of arctic weather. Finally out with the Tamron 90 the other day.

On the flip side, you can power off and on the camera and stay in Live View mode (or movie movie) without having to press the LV button each time you power back up. This is nice, as with the tilt screen I find myself doing more Live View shooting.

Any of you guys who might have migrated to the K-P froth K-5 have any comments or comparison's? I'm always wondering if there are problems developing, or if your perception of your use has changed since you first bought it.

It's an amazing little camera I think it is the real successor of the K5 and K5ii (except battery life) These days I only use my K3 with a telephoto lens. DA* 60-250mm
All other lenses such as M42 and manual lenses are for the KP with tilt daylight screen and electronic shutter.
