Here is a couple I took with the KP and DA*55/1.4 lens. Taken with my dog sitting in a chair at the kitchen table. Photos processed in LR.

Yes, you can.

I wrote a blog post on my website when I got my achromat. It‘s written in german language, but the images speak for themselves ...

With the TC minimum subject distance stays the same as without it. You get optical corrected magnification. The achromat in addition helps to shorten the minimum distance and therefore with my combo I get nearly 2:1. You can see it in the article´s last image.
