Out in Freeport, Maine with the DA 40 and DA 55-300 PLM. Found a hard working Bee loaded with pollen and followed him for a few minutes.

Took out my KP today and stopped by The river about 15 km from the house and as I turned the camera on two mallards swooped in front of me so I shot two images and was happy with the second one so here it is. Then two of Black Capped Chickadees in brush in a flooded area near the road.
From back a good ways... I've been browsing through this thread as a "KP lurker" (I will not buy a new camera i will not buy a new camera i will not...) and saw your birds. The first one is a Black-capped indeed, but 2nd is a White-Breasted Nuthatch. I had to mention it - they're two of my favorites. Had a Red-breasted nuthatch eating out of my hand here all this past winter, demanding it whenever I went out onto the deck. Fearless little buggers.

Here are two from today taken with my DA 50 2.8 macro. Forgot the hood but got some good images even though it was near noon when I took these.
