This is a very interesting thread and I am looking for wildlife shots taken with it (KP) and the DA*300/4 … anyone here posted this sort of shots?
Most of the shots of wildlife I've taken with the DA* 300 I posted over at the 300mm+ thread. But here are a couple shots with the DA* 300 + DA 1.4x converter (I can't seem to find any shots with the DA* 300 sans converter):

Thanks for heads up, Bruce.I was under the impression if I can see them, then others can too. Flickr images show up much more seamlessly but I still need to figure out how to get the images from Google photos to show up correctly. I thought I had it figured out

I also confirmed that the previous images I had posted are not showing up unless you are signed into a Google account.

Thanks. The DA* 300 is a great lens. My only slight caveat with it involves the slowness of it's focus motor. There are rumors that Pentax is going to replace the motors in the first generation DA* lenses, starting with the DA* 16-50 and DA* 50-135. Not sure when they're going to get around to the DA* 300, but a fast focus motor would be a nice plus with the lens.

One more DA* 300 + 1.4x converter with KP shot:

Still in the evaluation/honeymoon period of life with my KP, and so far I’m SO impressed! In the backyard with the kids playing in the pool with my new DA50mm f1.8, and using focus peaking with my 200mm Takumar f4

Pardon the instagram processing, but I’m also enjoying having the image sync app too.

First crack at a KP shot in Lightroom, though I'm hamstringing it a little by using a M 28mm f2.8 at 2.8. At 6400.

Chasing the kids in the yard around the pool, yup the AF works better too. There's a series of her running at me, about 5-8 images in each run, and all are in focus. Using AF-C, center group Auto, and a DA 50mm f1.8.

You at the Presidio or NPG? I never even paid any attention to that monument when we lived there. Mostly went to Pacific Grove by the Tinnery.

No, I was visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium and happened to see this during my walk back to where I parked. I couldn't resist capturing this picturesque moment of the bird resting on the perfect spot, so I spent a few minutes shooting before capturing this angle.
