The picture has a slightly waxy appearance as it was a heavy crop.
I really like the deep blacks and contrasting tones this setting produces. Not easy, or I have not found it easy to reproduce PP. Another bonus is that it allows me to "see" in black and white as the preview image when chimping is the JPEG mono. Plus, if not happy with the mono if shooting in RAW + the full image file is also there for PP.
I also have a user mode set for this filter so at the turn of the dial I am shooting in black and white. The only downside is the amount of time buffering while the in camera processing takes place, so if you are a machine gun shooter this is not for you.
KP, DA* 50-135mm, f2.8, ISO 400, 1/640s The only PP was a crop.
