Looking forward to that.

Here's one of the so-called "Pink Lady," a famous Victorian house in Eureka, CA, shot using PIxel Shift with the DA 15:

I'm new to Pentax Forums, researching a Pentax KP I'm probably just about to buy - and wanted to thank all who have posted so many photos in this thread, to help give me a visual idea of what it can do. (With the right lens, eye and more of course)

Thanks - and I hope to post some of my own pics with a KP here soon!
Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with the KP. I've been shooting Pentax since the K10D came out, and I think it is one of the best Aps-c cameras I have used. Click here for a quick impression when I finally broke down and purchased the KP.

I still think one of the most impressive things about the KP is the amazing ISO performance.

ISO 25,600:

I agree. This is ISO 3200, straight out of camera jpg, shot with a Helios 44K-4. The fog was so heavy that night you couldn't see street lights until you were within 1/8 mile from them.

Pentax HD-DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED WR Lens

f5.8, 1/400, ISO 1600 @ 300mm

Trying out my 55-300. The focus seems much snappier on the KP and does not hunt as much as on the K5.

Stronger Drive motor, better processor, so you are probably not imagining the improvement. My KP is leaps and bounds better in poor light than my K-50 and it was actually pretty good, especially compared to point and shoot cameras.

The faster auto focus speed is very noticeable, makes the lens much more user friendly and less irritating to use.

An available light portrait of a friend and fellow photographer, sharing beers at a local tavern. Taken with the DA 40 Ltd lens which, as I am discovering, is a fine portrait lens.

Waiting for the drip to drop!

Another DA 40 shot taken wide open of my cat as she sits under the aloe plant looking at the melting snow dropping past.

Decided to play around with the high iso shot from before just to see what I could do with it, it's amazing how usable the file is at such an extreme.

I softened the background a bit more to reduce the harshness of the out of focus grain and obviously added some punchy B&W.

Nice job. I like it more than the original.
