You are the absolute main reason the 55-300 PLM has jumped super high on my "must have" list. I was planning on looking for a 60-250 with SDM problems I could repair myself, but I don't think that's even necessary.
The DA* 60-250 is a great lens (I would love to have one myself), but it's hard to beat the 55-300 in terms of image quality per ounce of weight.

First time out with the new KP continuing a series of abandoned structures in our small agricultural county. KP/F28-2.8. A very comfortable and easy to use instrument. The screen menus are definitely an easier to use font.

Just came across your pix of this old V-Dub pickup. Well done. I thought the old pickup was ahead of it's time especially with the fold down walls, which when folded down, made the bed into a flatbed.

I've had three air cooled VW Beetles, all from the '60's and some great adventures with them. I remember the time I took my '69 1500 Type 1 to the drag strip. There I was in Lane 2 and in lane 1...my competition...a '32 Ford Highboy roadster with a Chevy 327 cube V8 and Hillborn stacked injectors. The Chrondeks hit green...and...well that is a story for another day.
