the KP and 20-40 is hard to beat.

Speaking of, from the Denali park road back in June, headed back from Kantishna Alaska. 14 frame panorama stitched in lightroom.

Will have a city trip. Take the KP with me and what flexible lens? I usually choose the DA18-135. But maybe the DFA28-105WR will deliver better IQ for a little bit less flexible FL. Today I did some test shots ... three of them ...

DFA28-105WR @ 105mm, f/5.6, 1/1250s at ISO400, pp crop. Don't know - maybe the DA18-135 could have delivered similar with an advantage in FL of 135mm.

DFA28-105WR @ 105mm, f/5.6 and 1/100s at ISO100. I got mushy borders and corners in similar captures with the DA18-135 if I remember correctly.

DFA28-105WR @ 28 mm, f/11, 1/160s at ISO200. Overall good sharpness compared to DA18-135.

My decision is to take the DFA28-105 instead of DA18-135. It will be accompanied by DA15 and DA*11-18 below it's range and above by DA55-300PLM. I think the gap of 10mm between 18 and 28 mm I'll cover easily by cropping if necessary.

Some stitched images taken just after rain using my KP and Sigma 10-20. Just lucky to be there at the right time, cycling home from work. These are from along the Thames River, London, Ontario.

Taken around Blackfriars Bridge.

Farther down the river.

These are all cross posted from other sub-forums.
I started my Pentax journey with a K10D, then upgraded to a K-7. They were okay but I just didn't think they were anything special. I stayed with Pentax because of the DA* 50-135 when I bought a KP.
Best decision in cameras I've ever made. It is a remarkable camera.

KP with Mamiya/Sekor 58/1.7

with Macro-Takumar 50/4

Rikenon 55/1.4
