software do you use to post-process Pixel shift images?
I believe there are only two software packages that can process pixel shift images whilst supporting most PS features, esp motion correction: Pentax Digital Camera Utility and RawTherapee. Lightroom offers some handy PS features, but it doesn't offer the same depth of support as the others.

Thanks for the tip, rawr. I have the Pentax Digital Camera Utility installed. Also Irfanview and Paint.net. As you say, doubt that Irfanview would have anything, but Paint.net....? I am a total novice at image manipulation with computer software - apart from extensive use of cropping!!!!

Just barely started tinkering. But will continue to do so. Might contemplate attending a workshop on Paint.net.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the KP process the PS photos internally, even in raw?

Yes, and so do the K-1 and K-1 ii. But many prefer to be able to have the extra control of the external software.

OK, thank you. Am I missing something just letting the camera take care of it? I use Elements for pp.

What software do you use to post-process Pixel shift images? I don't believe LR recognizes PS, which is probably why I've never used it
I use LR 6 — and yes, LR 6 does recognize PS (at least with the KP and K-1vi).

Here's another Death Valley PS shot with the DA 55-300 PLM, processed in LR 6:

OK then, I will use Pixel Shift on my March trip to the SW!

Very pleased with the high ISO performance of the KP. I almost always cap it at 3200, but these are between 5000 and 6400 ISO.
