Ha! Well... it has opened up new photographic opportunities that I was missing out on for sure. I'm only using it a lot right now due to Corona and lockdowns (and all my weddings and events postponed etc). So it's trips to the national park or snapping cats at home hehe

New KP owner

I recently bought the KP (upgrading from k-x) mainly for doing macro shots, the high ISO making it easier to get useable shots.
After a night with light frost I grabbed the camera and went into the garden to do some shots before it melted. This is the top of curly kale.

Thanks for the correction. If I stick around here long enough, I may learn about more than cameras.

Moonrise over Corner Inlet and Wilson's Promontory (on the right). South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. KP + DA 20-40 Ltd.

The foreground shows the seagrass beds (visible at low tide) that are crucial to the diversity of marine life in this Ramsar site.
The ghost-like figures in the second shot are Black Swans.

I must be getting a little stir crazy. We've been under a shelter at home order for 4 days. The sun looked like it might come out for a few moments late this afternoon, so I decided to take a walk out to the vantage point I took the Sunrise Over the Corn Bales picture a few pages ago. There was not as much sun as I had hoped, but as I said, I'm looking for an excuse to push the shutter button.

Hi Bruce, you're pulling some serious performance out of 55-300 PLM , I love the colors, contrast, sharpness of the in-focus part as well as the bokeh of the background!

Flower(s) on a tiny weeping cherry tree we planted last year. Nice to have something to enjoy at home when I'm forced to stay there every day all day. KP and DA 55-300 PLM.
