White-headed pigeon. I think this is a female or juvenile, going by the grey feathers on the breast. KP + DA 55-300 PLM at 260mm.
This species is mainly found in Queensland and New South Wales. Although it is spreading into eastern Victoria, it is a rare visitor this far south (South Gippsland is the southernmost part of mainland Australia). This capture is the more special because the species is described by Morcombe as "one of the shyest and wariest of pigeons".
