Originally posted by skierd I usually leave the thumb wheel as ISO, but I also leave ISO on auto set to 100-3200 or 6400 and therefore inadvertently turn the range off. I need to figure something else out that’s useful... maybe if I used live view and focus peaking more?
I'm certainly a big fan of Live View, focus peaking not so much but I have had a couple of odd scenarios where it was actually more a necessity than not (to get the shot). Certainly a camera is a varied tool and lots of different ways to approach a shot and some modes can get that shot quicker and more accurate than others. Exploiting the camera to its fullest is never a bad thing.
