I received the replacement KP a couple of weeks ago and managed one walk before I saw a dermatologist. I've also been playing around with b&w, shooting raw+ and leaving the photo mode set to b&w. All shot with the DFA 70-210, I think my fine focus adjustment is OK.
I know that not many like abstracts but I do. Lichen on a rock.
This walk has a number of benches along the way, it's a pleasant place to wander.
I've been staying out of the sun for the past two weeks, letting the stitches heal and doing other things. But today it finally drove me nuts, looking at all of your photos and realizing that I haven't taken anything interesting, or even really made sure that the 70-210 focuses right on this new camera. So today I looked around my little home for something that would be a challenge for the new Topaz Labs Denoise AI (which I just downloaded) and would give me an indication that I have the focus adjust set right. I took a number of very boring photos, but thought this one was at least a little fun, with a little photoshop work using both the raw (color) file and the b&w jpg file. The new Denoise AI is much better than the one that first came out, more ability to retain detail if you want. I know, I'm desperate. I'm bored. I probably could have spent my time better wielding a dust cloth rather than a camera and Photoshop.
