Superb shots! Especially the 1st one, is an excellent image with pro work behind and in front of the camera.

From a visit to the (recently reopened) Wilsons Promontory NP. KP + DA 55-300 PLM

A young Eastern Grey Kangaroo.

Because they are always seen in the bush, I used to wonder why these macropods were called Swamp Wallabies. Now I know.

Thank you. With my limited knowledge manual mode is the only one where I could get the colors of sunset - l don't know if there are any other ways (without post processing). The second shot was just lucky timing .

Interesting just how different the photos are! They say two entirely different things, don’t they? I like them both, so I’m no help.

They are both good in different ways but if pushed I'd go for the colour as the mist stands out a bit more. Lovely scene.

For me, it's really no question: I vote for the Black & White version. It has a mystery and an elegance which the coloured version doesn't come close to. But, admittedly, that is a subjective opinion....others may feel the opposite.

But I love the monochrome processing which you have done here.

Yes, they provide different atmosphere. Thanks for your feedback anyway

Finally got a chance to test the new KP and the fine focus adjustment with the DFA 70-210 somewhere other than around the trailer. It's not a lens I would normally use at a reservoir known for birding opportunities. But I was more interested in the camera and how it was going to do elsewhere. I think that perhaps it's still front focusing a bit, but it's pretty close - at the aperture I used it works reasonably well.

You might try shooting at a larger aperture. ƒ9 gives quite a bit of DOF and makes it tough to tell if your AF needs adjusting.

I would go for colour personally, because you have those Autumn goodness going on and I think it actually assists with the fog than distracts.

Both work really well, but I prefer the colour version. An excellent shot.
